Early Life and Career

Alex de Minaur, born on 17th February 1999, is an Australian professional tennis player. He began playing tennis at the age of 5 and quickly rose through the junior ranks, reaching a career-high junior ranking of No. 2. In 2015, he made his ATP Tour debut and has since become one of the most promising young players in the game.

A Rising Star

De Minaur's breakthrough season came in 2018 when he won the Sydney International. He followed this up by reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open and the fourth round of the US Open. In 2019, he reached the final of the Next Gen ATP Finals, finishing runner-up to Jannik Sinner.

Recent Success

De Minaur continued to improve his ranking in 2020, reaching a career-high of World No. 18. He won his second ATP title at the Antwerp Open and reached the fourth round of the Australian Open and the third round of the French Open.
